CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations Generally Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in India.

The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being….

Our school observed this day were in the PT teachers arranged this activity in the morning session. First warming exercises were taken then various yoga sans were conducted like Tadasana, Adho-Mukha, savasana, Trikonasana, Bhujangasana, and Paschimottana. The importance of every asana was given in detail and performed in the two sessions. 1st to 10th std activity conducted. Students enjoyed this program with exercise. After this program for students school arranged one seminar on International Yoga Day as well as organized Rhythmic yoga.
